Princeton University '26Verified acceptance to Princeton University

Dancer, pianist, and Neuroscience/premed/global health student at Princeton

I think among students that apply to Ivy schools, my academics are just about average. You'll see that there were plenty of schools that I was waitlisted/rejected from. However, I was able to make it to some good schools, and I believe I stood out because I was able to paint a very clear, broad picture of my values, inspirations, and goals. By presenting myself through my extracurricular activities, experiences, and passions, I created essays that fully represented myself in a unique way. I hope you gain some insight through my essays. Best of luck with your college applications! I'm rooting for you!!

I self-studied for AP Statistics, Biology, and Micro- and Macroeconomics because they aren’t offered at Interlochen (I couldn’t take AP Statistics due to schedule conflicts), but I was highly interest

Were you accepted anywhere without an interview, or with a poor interview?

The interviews really shouldn't be a huge stress because the most amazing interview I had was with Yale University (45 minute interview lasted almost 2 hours because we had such a good conversation),

What would you do differently if you were to redo the application cycle?

I would prepare for the essays better. To be completely honest, I started writing my essays 6 days before the first deadline. My story is a little unique because I was planning to take a few gap years

How did you build your college list?

I looked for universities with a strong presence of arts/ballet on campus. Ballet is something I'm still very passionate about, so I wanted a school with a strong ballet student club, or a strong danc

What was AP testing like for you?

I think there's always a question of how necessary AP exams are, and how many you should have. For me personally, my school only offered 2 AP courses (only one of which I took). So I self-studied for
