Johns Hopkins graduate currently at Stanford for my PhD!
My approach to college applications was rooted in persistence and growth. I was selected as a QuestBridge Finalist, and although I didn’t match, I continued through Regular Decision, applying to nearly 30 schools. I worked on my essays from summer through winter, which gave me the time to deeply reflect and create writing I’m truly proud of. A major turning point was being part of the USC Bovard Scholars program, where mentors and professionals provided invaluable feedback that helped me strengthen my essays and find my authentic voice. While the process was challenging, it taught me that setbacks don’t define your outcome - how you respond to them does. I’m excited to use what I learned to support other students through this journey and help them feel confident sharing their own stories.
