Human Biology major on a pre-medical track! My other interests include anything related to visual art, playing sports, and race/social justice initiatives.
My original college list had about 10 schools on it. Stanford was the only school I applied to early. I got in, and I was all set to come here. Then, I had some complications with the financial aid office, and my early read for financial aid. Suddenly, Stanford did not seem like a feasible option for my family financially. I panicked, and I applied to 5 of the other schools on my initial list regular decision. I wanted to have other options in case Stanford was not affordable. I was fortunate enough to get into those 5 other schools, and I ended up with 6 options in total for college. I was able to sort things out with the Stanford financial aid office, so I officially accepted my spot right before the decision deadline. I am happy with my choice, but I know I would have been happy elsewhere also! I'm a strong believer that everything works out for a reason. I believe that if Stanford was not meant to be, things would not have worked out to make it an affordable option for me.
