CS/music double major coming from a small island and rural town. Low-income student Admitted to Stanford University and the UW Honors Program.
My college list was comprised of almost all reach schools and only one safety school. The schools of which I applied to promised to provide its students with some of the best engineering programs in the world and had excellent statistics regarding campus life and success rates of post-grad alumni. While one might call my approach to the application process a little ambitious, I believe that with the enough mentorship, time, and effort, anyone can guarantee their spot in an excellent college/university.
