My tried and true advice is to have a healthy balance of believing in yourself AND being realistic. I applied to Yale Early Action and got in so I actually only applied to one college. My approach to the application was to really make it authentic to me- no BS, no stretching the truth. Just put yourself out there in the most honest way possible!
