I initially aimed to apply to over 30 schools because I was terrified of getting rejected everywhere. But after some helpful talks with my counselor, we narrowed it down to about 22–23 schools. I applied early action to my three safety schools plus my state school, UVA, and then regular decision to the others. My main interest is in Behavioral Neuroscience/Cognitive Science, with a goal of pursuing a pre-med track, so I chose schools that best fit that focus. Yale was my dream school, but if I didn't get in, I would've prioritized affordability and opportunity.
