Electrical Engineering and CS student interested in Management, Public Policy, and Political Science
Going into the application process, seeing other people's essays (whether it be through Reddit or Youtube), really helped me better understand what college essays were all about. So I hope people can better understand the process through reading mine too! I originally planned on applying to 12 schools, but once I got into MIT early I withdrew two applications. These are some of the essays I wrote for schools that I got into; enjoy! And if you want more advice after unlocking my page feel free to shoot me an email (exliu@mit.edu) :) Also, please remember. Convey yourself in a way that's easily understood yet still slightly nuanced. And most importantly, write what's authentic to you. Don't fake your personality, or worse, plagiarize, or it won't truly be you getting into these schools (and you should know better). Good luck!
