PoliSci & Pre-law @ Columbia
I had slightly weaker academics, so I knew I needed to make up for it in other parts of the application and also apply to more schools. I applied to 17, and got into 13 in total (4/13 being T20s). I truly recommend two key things: 1. trust the process. I was not happy about my EA results, I got deffered from UMichigan and Georgetown. I looked at my apps and changed a few things that I thought weren't working. In the end I got into 3 Ivies, so it worked out. 2. is to just go for it. I was debating whether not to apply to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Northwestern, etc. My stats were a good bit below but I'm so glad I knew I could make up for it in my own way and I just took my shot.

Do you recommend using private counseling and/or essay editing services?
I strongly recommend using services- even if you think you can't afford it. Full transparency: I founded a group called Margins (look us up on TikTok for way more advice) so I'm a good bit biased. The
