I applied to around 15 schools in total, all for different reasons - some for financial packages, some as safety schools, some were my academic and cultural "fit," and others for the career opportunities and resume boost. I knew my own capabilities, and I used this to determine my school list. My extracurriculars was very well-rounded - I had extensive athletic, musical, art, academic, pre-professional, and volunteer work. I was very academically successful, with over 30 awards in my high-school, community, state, and nationwide. I took 15 AP classes, and received 5's on all of them. I broadcasted myself as someone who makes the most of a resource or an opportunity.
