I didn't have a college list in mind when applying to college, only a vague idea that I wanted to do something related to health services. I spent my summer between junior and senior year drafting my UC PIQs, and consistently asked my counselor, teachers, and peers to review my PIQs and other Personal Statements. I used their feedback without losing my own writing style, and I think this was the main thing that helped me solidify and strengthen my college applications. Aside from that, I continued to work toward maintaining high grades and staying involved in my extracurriculars.
